The 4 C’s of a Successful Leadership Team

 What a great quote… and it has so much truth in it! I have found, in my years of business and team building, anyone with a dream and a bank account can have a business… but those that are successful have a great vision and a great team of leaders! We all know that the acronym for team is Together Everyone Achieves More! In order to build a rock solid foundation, you must have a great team of leaders to carry out the task!  Within that leadership team, there are qualities that also must be met before chemistry can be established.

I call this concept the 4 “C’s” to Leadership & Team Building.

1^st – The First “C” is about the vision. These leaders must have a Common Goal (Vision) to shoot for, which will give them a reason--their “Why”.

2^nd - The next “C” is Communication, and making sure that there is always an open line of it. This concept allows the team to have access to you, and in turn, keeps you in touch with your team members.

3^rd - The next “C” is Cooperation, and making sure that all cylinders of the team are working at maximum capacity. For when team members are working together on a common goal, and have the ability to communicate, cooperation becomes natural and is the next natural step.

4^th The last “C” is Commitment. Most team members are primarily concerned about relationship with others on the team, and about being valued as a team member, before they are concerned about the task that the team is undertaking. Feeling secure in a team environment is an important pre-requisite to full participation, so commitment becomes the glue that holds the team and the leadership together.

So…when looking to build a successful business, you have to put together a successful team. What better way to establish that, than using the 4 “C” system?
